Competency interviewing is based on the idea that past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour so interviewers will seek to obtain information about candidates past behaviour in certain situations. Each role will be allocated a set of competencies and you will be measured against these in an interview situation. You will be asked to give an example of a task or situation which led you to take a certain course of action and then probing questions will follow to ascertain the course of action you took.
The competency Questions Package includes over 75 questions around typical Sales competencies such as Initiative, Drive, Motivation and Communication. The pack also includes 19 additional questions around Leadership, which are relevant for those at Team Leader/Management level.
